Energy Recovery Ventilators
for Iowa, Nebraska & Western Illinois

Improve Indoor Air Quality While Reducing Energy Costs

As buildings become tighter and ventilation standards continue to evolve, Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) have become an essential part of modern commercial HVAC systems. ERVs provide a continuous supply of fresh outdoor air while recovering energy from the exhaust air stream, helping reduce heating and cooling loads without sacrificing indoor air quality.

VHF Sales proudly represents Soler & Palau (S&P), ICE Western, and Systemair, offering energy recovery solutions for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings throughout Iowa, Nebraska, Western Illinois, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

What Is an Energy Recovery Ventilator?

An ERV transfers both heat and moisture between the outgoing exhaust air and the incoming outdoor air while keeping the two air streams separate. This process helps temper the incoming air before it reaches the HVAC system, reducing the amount of energy required to heat or cool ventilation air. S&P notes that its energy exchange core transfers both sensible heat and humidity while physically separating the two air streams to prevent cross-contamination.

Benefits Include:

  • Improves indoor air quality by introducing filtered outdoor air

  • Reduces heating and cooling energy required for ventilation

  • Helps manage indoor humidity levels

  • Reduces the load on heating and cooling equipment

  • Supports healthy, comfortable indoor environments

  • Integrates with modern HVAC and building automation systems
